Do you grow your seaweed and do you have seaweed farms in Australia?

We specialise in sourcing, importing and selling the world's highest quality, wild-harvested seaweeds.
We work with and provide advice to companies in Australia and overseas that are aiming to establish seaweed farms.

Do you sell Australian seaweed?

Our seaweeds are imported from countries around the North Atlantic... Ireland, Norway, Scotland and Iceland.
We specialise in cold-water seaweeds because these species have the highest nutritional levels.
Surprisingly, even in Tasmania the ocean is too warm to support these high quality seaweed species. As well, Australia prohibits the harvesting of seaweed. Here the industry relies on gathering dead seaweed from beaches, which further reduces the quality of the product.

No we don't. We can help with directing you to where you can buy a similar product in your own country.

Who is SEA, Seaweed Enterprises Australia?

We are a family owned company based on the Atherton Tablelands near Cairns in Far North Queensland.
We operate out of 2 warehouses in Melbourne. One is dedicated to receiving and sending bulk pallets, the other fulfills orders for our domestic online store.
In its current form SEA has been operating since 2016, but our family has been involved in seaweed for over 50 years. You can read more here.

Seaperia is a registered trade mark of Seaweed Enterprises Australia. It is our very own Aussie brand.

Who is Seagreens?

Seagreens is a wholly family owned and managed company based in the UK. It was founded in 1997 by Simon Ranger.
At SEA we are proud to be Seagreens' Australian distributor.
